Spore Cellar Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 18, 2026
1. Introduction
This policy covers Spore Cellar, a game made by Monveri LLC ("Monveri," "we," "our," or "us"), on iPhone, iPad, Android, and on Steam for Mac, Windows and Linux, including the free Steam demo. It also covers this website, sporecellargame.com. It explains what happens to your information when you play or visit.
The short version: the game itself does not collect, store, sell or share any personal information. Your game stays on your device. The only personal information we keep is for people we send a promo code to (see section 5).
2. Information We Collect
None through the game. Spore Cellar has:
- No accounts, sign-ins or player profiles
- No advertising or ad networks
- No analytics, crash reporting or tracking
- No in-game chat or messaging
- No access to your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone
The game does not connect to the internet while you play, and nothing is sent to Monveri. If we send you a promo code, see section 5.
3. Your Saved Game
Your progress is saved as a small file on your own device. It contains only game data, such as your spores, the fungi in your cellar and your upgrades.
- iPhone and iPad: the save is included in your device's iCloud or computer backup if you have backups turned on. That is handled by Apple, not by Monveri.
- Android: the save is included in your Google device backup if you have it turned on. That is handled by Google, not by Monveri.
- Windows, Mac and Linux: the save stays on your computer. Nothing is uploaded.
The game's "Copy save code" button lets you copy your save as text so you can move it yourself. It is only shared if you choose to paste it somewhere.
Deleting the game, or using "Wipe save" in the game, removes the save from your device.
4. Purchases and Stores
Spore Cellar is bought through Steam, the App Store or Google Play. Your payment details are handled entirely by Valve, Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, and Monveri never receives your card details. We only receive sales totals.
When you play through Steam, the Steam app may record things like your playtime under Valve's own privacy policy. Steam only shares totals with us, such as how many people own or play the game, never who you are.
5. Promo Codes
If we send you a promo code, we keep your name, your email address, which code we sent and when. We use this to send the code, resend it if you lose it, and make sure each code goes to one person. We may also email you to ask for your feedback on the game. We don't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing, and we never share or sell your details. The email is sent through our email provider.
If you don't want us to contact you again, use the "Don't email me again" link in any of our follow-up emails, or email [email protected], and we'll mark your record "do not contact". We keep the record itself so each code still goes to only one person.
6. Children's Privacy
Spore Cellar is suitable for all ages. Because the game collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
7. This Website
sporecellargame.com has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and it sets no cookies. It is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes standard connection details, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Our web server keeps an access log with the same details for security and troubleshooting.
8. Changes to This Policy
If a future version of Spore Cellar changes how it handles information, we will update this page and the "Last Updated" date before that version is released.
