Spore Cellar

Grow a fungus farm in the dark.

Placement is everything.

Tap the mother cap to gather spores, plant strange mushrooms in your beds, and find the layout where they all lift each other up. Then release the bloom and grow it all again, stronger.

The spawn shelf

Every fungus has its own rule. Find where each one grows best.

  • Button Cap
  • Cellar Moss
  • Mycelium Thread
  • Puffball
  • Glowcap
  • Black Truffle
  • Morel Spire
  • Elder Bracket
  • Earthstar
  • Fairy Ring
  • Chanterelle
  • Ghost Mycena
  • Cordyceps
  • Lion's Mane
  • Reishi
  • Honey Fungus

Quick start

  1. Tap the mother cap (the big mushroom) to gather spores, or press Space on a keyboard. Unlock Hold to tap in the spore tree to keep tapping just by holding it down.
  2. Plant. Pick a fungus from the Spawn shelf, then tap an empty plot. Your first Button Cap is already growing.
  3. Read the outlines. Tap a fungus to see its card: green plots are ones it boosts, gold ones boost it, red ones hold it back.
  4. Rearrange. Drag a fungus (press and hold on touch screens) to move it or swap it with another. Moving is free.
  5. Ripen and upgrade. Raise fungi to higher levels from their card, and use the Upgrades tab to dig a bigger cellar and strengthen your taps.
  6. Watch the clock. By day taps are worth double; at night Glowcaps shine and Ghost Mycena wake up.
  7. Tap beetles to shoo them for a reward, and tap swollen puffballs to burst them.
  8. Release the bloom. When the Bloom tab glows, release the cellar to start again with a permanent bonus, and spend your spore essence in the spore tree.
